Praised for his "fantastic technique and great intensity" by cellist Gustav Rivinius, cellist Mikayel Voskanyan is rapidly establishing himself among the most compelling artists of his generation.

Following his recent success as a prizewinner at the 2026 Classic Cello International Competition in London, he is gaining momentum on the international stage as a soloist and chamber musician of remarkable depth.

Voskanyan's professional trajectory includes his soloist debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London. His 2025/26 season is headlined by a debut at the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, where he performed a programme of Prokofiev, Debussy, and Schnittke.

He has shared the stage with many of the world's most distinguished artists, including Boris Brovtsyn, Shunske Sato, Kristof Barati, Yossif Ivanov, Nabil Shehata, and Alexander Chaushian, and has performed at prestigious venues including the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, Stevenson Hall, Teatro Marrucino, and the Theater aan het Vrijthof.

Voskanyan completed his studies with Professor Alexander Chaushian at the Conservatorium Maastricht, graduating with distinction.
